I was cast as Theodore Claymore and had some other cameo roles in a production of Coram Boy, which is a play adapted by Helen Edmundson based on the same titled children’s novel by Jamila Gavin. This was my début performance with Tower Theatre, and was cast three weeks before the opening night which was in late July. This last minute casting was a great opportunity, for which I am thoroughly grateful to have been onboard.
Coram Boy is a complicated play with 60+ scenes. We had a cast of twenty six talented actors. The remaining three week rehearsal period was demanding, but thoroughly rewarding. Once all the scenes had been slotted together tightly, a deeply emotional and complex period drama had emerged. All the cast and crew were very welcoming and friendly to work with, and I would happily do so again.
