Oscar Wilde’s Lady Windermere’s Fan is a dramatic play with a good helping of comedy. Produced by and performed at Incognito Theatre in late November 2018. I played the character Mr Dumby, and this was the second Oscar Wilde play that I performed in during 2018, the other of course was A Woman of No Importance.
The play began for the audience with the majority of the ladies appearing in character in the foyer. The production gave me another great opportunity to work with old and new faces. Another memorable, friendly time in Incognito Theatre. I think my favourite memory of the play was a quote from my character Mr Dumby: "I have been wildly, madly adored, I am sorry I have, I should like a little time to myself now and then" (certainly my character’s personality summarised perfectly).
